Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a fluoroplastic. PTFE has many industrial applications due to its properties: low friction, non-stick, heat resistant, inert, self-cleaning, durable, effective across a wide range of temperatures, non-flammable, corrosive resistant and high electrical resistance. PTFE lubricates and provides superior long-lasting corrosion protection. PTFE can be used on a variety of substrates such as but not limited to: aluminium, standard steel, mild steel and titanium.
