Electropolishing is essentially a “reverse plating” process. The process involves the removal of surface contaminants within the metal surface as per BS EN 3769:1997. The surface roughness is reduced with an improved aesthetic finish and enhanced corrosion resistance.
OUTSTANDING FEATURES & BENEFITS
Increased corrosion resistance
By removing surface imperfections, electropolishing will increase the part’s resistance to corrosion because by elimination of imperfections can prevent the moisture that leads to corrosion from accumulation.
Immediate brightening of the metal finish
By eliminating or minimizing stains, hear discolouration and minor scratches. Electropolishing brings out the metal’s natural shine, enchanting the appearance of the part.
Ease of Cleaning
Electropolishing offers remarkable ultra-cleaning capabilities through the removal of rust, imbedded scale and other foreign debris. This can be accomplished without stressing the piece or negatively impacting surface hardness and integrity. Improves sterilization and maintenance of hygienically clean surfaces for food, drug and chemical processing equipment.
